The Community-Supported Dying of Mary Morgan

In January 2020, my friend Mary Morgan asked a small group of women to be her 'dying team.' She had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and wanted to die at home. Over the next 16 months, Mary’s dying emerged as a true community-based process that included practical care, creating rituals, and the building of Mary's cedar casket. It was hard and beautiful and human. When Mary died on April 13th, 2021, we cared for her body at her home until her burial in the green section of Cranberry cemetery. This is her story. http://www.prliving.ca/media/pdfs/Issue2109.pdf (Pages 35-36).
